Alabama football vs. Tennessee kickoff time, TV network set for Oct. 19 game
Alabama football’s Oct. 19 trip to Tennessee has a kickoff time. The Crimson Tide and Volunteers will face off at 2:30 p.m. CT that day, which falls on the Third Saturday in October, as per tradition, the SEC announced on Monday.
The game will be aired on ABC. It had been listed as a flex game ahead of the 2024 season, meaning it could have kicked off anytime between 2:30 and 7 p.m.
The Tennessee game will be Alabama’s second afternoon window game of the season. The Tide faced Vanderbilt and 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, and fell 40-35 in its first loss to the Commodores since 1984.
The Volunteers also lost last week. Josh Heupel’s Volunteers fell at Arkansas, their first defeat of the season.
Alabama beat Tennessee last time out, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. UA won that game 34-20.
However, last time it visited Neyland Stadium, the result was a different story. Tennessee won the 2022 edition of the rivalry on a last-second field goal, ending a long streak of defeats dating back to the 2007 game, Nick Saban’s first of the series.
Before heading to Knoxville, Alabama first has to take care of business at home. The Crimson Tide faces South Carolina on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
That game is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. CT. it will be also be aired on ABC.
