Alabama football receiver to enter transfer portal
News broke of Alabama football’s bowl destination, and it didn’t take long for a new player to announce transfer portal intentions.
Caleb Odom after his freshman season told On3 he plans to enter the transfer portal Sunday.
Odom caught seven passes for 65 yards in his freshman season. He’s a 6-5, 227-pound receiver from Carrollton, Georgia. Odom was signed as a tight end before he switched to play receiver heading into the 2024 season.
Odom played in all 12 games this season, mainly serving as a backup receiver and special teams player.
The transfer portal is set to open Monday for 20 days.
Odom joins Kobe Prentice as receivers on this year’s roster planning to enter the transfer portal. Other players such as linebacker Keanu Koht and defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis made their intentions known during the season. Cornerback Jahlil Hurley also shared his intentions of entering the transfer portal after the Iron Bowl.
