Alabama football Fan Day: What to know about parking, autographs and more

After a pandemic-related hiatus, Alabama football’s Fan Day is set to return on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium for the first time since 2019. Nick Saban and the 2023 Crimson Tide team will conduct practice on the field at the stadium, and fans are welcome to attend.

Afterward, the team and coaching staff, including Saban will be available to some fans for autographs. Here’s what else to know about the event.

What time is Alabama football’s Fan Day?

The open practice is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and will run for two hours. Doors to Bryant-Denny Stadium open at 1:30 p.m.

The autograph session is scheduled to take place after the practice ends.

Where do I park for Fan Day?

The West ten Hoor area of UA’s campus is where Alabama athletics recommended fans park for the event. Two parking decks, plus multiple surface lots will be open for Fan Day.

Where do I enter the stadium?

Through gates 13 and 24 on the west side. Seating is available in sections A-N in the west side lower bowl.

Fans will be subject to security screening on the way in, but are allowed to bring in an empty non-glass bottle or cup.

How can I get autographs at Fan Day?

In previous years, all fans in attendance were welcome to come on the field and seek autographs at Fan Day, leading to the infamous “Running of the Gumps.” In a sign of the times in college football, that won’t be the case in 2023.

Autographs will still be available, but only to members of the Yea Alabama NIL entity. Yea Alabama members will be emailed an autograph session digital ticket before Fan Day.

Members can bring one child, ages 12 and under, in for free. Fans are limited to one item each for autographs, and posed pictures aren’t allowed.
