Alabama football: Check out Bryant-Denny Stadium’s field being replaced
Now that Alabama’s A-Day is in the rearview mirror, the Crimson Tide has started getting Bryant-Denny Stadium ready for the upcoming season.
On Tuesday, the university released pictures of a barren surface as preparation has started for replacing the field’s surface.
Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide hosts Middle Tennessee in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Sept. 2.
It’s been a headline-worthy day for the Tide. Hours after Notre Dame’s Tyler Buchner announced he’d be entering the transfer portal, the junior quarterback has reportedly set a visit to Alabama.
According to multiple reports, Buchner’s first stop as he evaluates potential schools will be with the Crimson Tide.
Buchner was offered by Alabama when he was a four-star prospect in the class of 2021 and has ties to current offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
The topic of quarterback has been a hot one since A-Day as neither Ty Simpson nor Jalen Milroe appeared to separate themselves from the other during the spring.
Simpson, as it turns out, suffered a UCL sprain during Saturday’s scrimmage, confirmed by his father Jason Simpson on Monday. The quarterback is not expected to miss any time and will be ready when fall practice starts.
