Alabama faces some of its coldest temperatures of fall this week: How chilly will it get?
Alabama could get a little taste of winter later this week.
Two cold fronts are expected to bring in a stream of colder air — possibly some of the coldest of the fall. However, it doesn’t look like there could be any snowflake sightings as conditions will be dry, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will begin to fall on Wednesday after the first front moves through. That front could bring some needed rain to Alabama as well as a low risk for a few storms, according to the weather service.
Forecasters expect a reinforcing but dry cold front to move through starting during the day on Wednesday. That’s when the real cold air begins to arrive.

Daytime highs are expected to be chilly, even all the way into south Alabama. High temperatures will only reach the 50s in north and central Alabama and the low 60s in the south.
