Alabama expected to bring in top transfer portal running back for visit

Alabama football is expected to bring Utah State running back Rahsul Faison in for a visit soon, sources with knowledge of the situation told AL.com.

Faison spent the past two seasons with the Aggies, taking 316 carries for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns. This past season, he averaged 5.6 yards per carry with 198 carries for 1,109 yards and eight scores.

Faison is a 5-11, 200-pound running back from Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

Before he transferred to Utah State, Faison was at Snow College in Utah. He also played for Marshall in 2021 and spent the 2020 season with Lackawanna College in 2020.

247Sports ranks Faison as the top-ranked running back available in the transfer portal.

Alabama had one of its top running backs, Justice Haynes, enter the transfer portal and commit to Michigan. Starting running back Jam Miller has said he will return for another season. Richard Young, Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley can all return as well. Alabama also signed running back recruit Akylin Dear.
