Another week of the same results for Alabama football. The Crimson Tide remained undefeated in SEC play, beating Kentucky 49-21 in Lexington to clinch the SEC West title.

It was the Crimson Tide’s eighth consecutive win and moved Nick Saban’s team to 9-1 on the season. It also didn’t impact Alabama’s position in the US LBM coaches poll top 25.

Alabama remained at No. 8 after the win. That’s the same position the Tide has held since Oct. 22.

. The College Football Playoff rankings will be unveiled Tuesday.

Georgia remained No. 1 in the coaches and AP rankings, followed by Michigan, Ohio State and Florida State in both polls. Washington, Oregon and Texas are also ranked in front of the Crimson Tide.

Alabama and Georgia will face each other in the SEC championship game. Both teams clinched their respective divisions on Saturday.

Ole Miss, which had been ranked No. 9, lost a blowout against Georgia. The Rebels dropped to No. 14 in the coaches rankings and No. 13 on the media poll.

Louisville moved up two spots to ninth in both polls. The Cardinals were followed by Oregon State and Missouri.

Penn State dropped three spots to No. 12 in the coaches and media polls after losing to Michigan and struggling offensively. Tennessee also took a large tumble, seven spots down to No. 19 after losing to Missouri in Columbia.

Kansas and Fresno State dropped out of the coaches poll rankings this week.
