Alabama DB Antonio Kite enters transfer portal ahead of DeBoer press conference
Alabama football had a third player enter the transfer portal on Saturday morning. Second-year defensive back Antonio Kite announced he’s exploring a future outside of Tuscaloosa.
The update comes shortly before Kalen DeBoer is set to be introduced in Bryant-Denny Stadium at 1 p.m. Former five-star Dezz Ricks and JuCo tight end Miles Kitselman also entered the portal following DeBoer’s hire and first team meeting on Friday night.
Kite, from Anniston, was a four-star prospect in the class of 2022. The defensive back appeared in seven games this fall, mostly on special teams.
Alabama’s secondary coach Travaris Robinson also announced he’d be heading to Georgia to work for Kirby Smart. It’ll be a busy start for DeBoer, who’ll need to maintain the roster and fill out his coaching staff.
