The University of Alabama is the most conservative college in the state – and among the most conservative in the country – according to rankings released by Niche.com.

The college rankings site named the Tuscaloosa campus No. 14 most conservative in the country in its latest rankings. Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, is the most conservative in the United States.

According to the college rankings site, the most conservative, politically, schools in Alabama also include:

  • Auburn University
  • The University of Alabama in Huntsville
  • Auburn University at Montgomery
  • University of South Alabama
  • Oakwood University
  • Troy University
  • University of Alabama at Birmingham
  • Alabama A&M University
  • Jacksonville State University

The site determines the rankings by asking students to describe their own political beliefs and the political beliefs on campus as a whole.
