An 18-year-old wanted in a deadly 2022 shooting in Alexander City is now in custody.

Dental ‘Lil Man’ Davis is charged with capital murder in the Dec. 29, 2022, slaying of 18-year-old Elijah Tarez Lewis.

The deadly shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. that night on Thomas Street in Alex City. Lewis later died at the hospital.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Davis Tuesday in Chicago.

The task force has been actively searching for Davis since January.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers has received numerous tips about the fugitive, and said investigators credit a recent Crime Stoppers tip with helping provide the whereabouts of Davis.

The anonymous tipster will be receiving a $1,000 cash reward.
