0 Previous games for Oklahoma as an unranked team against Alabama. The Sooners have a 3-2-1 record against the Crimson Tide. No. 5 Alabama defeated No. 8 Oklahoma 17-0 in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1, 1963, in the programs’ first meeting. Unranked Alabama and No. 20 Oklahoma tied 24-24 in their next meeting in the Bluebonnet Bowl on Dec. 31, 1970. The Sooners then won three in a row: No. 2 Oklahoma defeated Alabama 37-27 on Sept. 7, 2002, No. 1 Oklahoma defeated Alabama 20-13 on Sept. 6, 2003, in the Tide’s only previous visit to Norman and No. 11 Oklahoma defeated No. 3 Alabama 45-31 in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2, 2014. No. 1 Alabama defeated No. 4 Oklahoma 45-34 in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 29, 2018.

0 Teams in the nation have played a more difficult schedule than Alabama in 2024, according to the NCAA rankings. The Crimson Tide’s nine NCAA FBS opponents have compiled a record of 66-25 this season against other FBS programs (excluding their game against Alabama). That’s a .725 winning percentage that’s the highest in the nation.

3 Alabama players have at least six rushing TDs this season. QB Jalen Milroe has 17 rushing TDs, RB Jam Miller has seven and RB Justice Haynes has six. Only two other teams in the nation have three players with at least six rushing TDs this season – South Alabama and fellow SEC member Texas A&M. Alabama is the only SEC team and among the 11 nationally with three ball-carriers with 400 or more rushing yards. Milroe has 608 yards on 120 carries, Miller has 512 yards on 95 carries and Justice Haynes has 410 yards on 69 carries.

4 Consecutive conference games have been lost by Oklahoma, equaling the Sooners’ longest in-season league losing streak in program history. Oklahoma also lost four consecutive conference contests in 1960, 1997 and 1998. The Sooners were members of the Big Eight in 1960 and the Big 12 in 1997 and 1998. Since defeating Auburn 27-21 on Sept. 28, Oklahoma has lost in SEC games 34-3 to Texas on Oct. 12, 35-9 to South Carolina on Oct. 19, 26-14 to Ole Miss on Oct. 26 and 30-23 to Missouri on Nov. 9.

5 Punt-return yards for Alabama’s opponents this season, tied with Texas State for the fewest in the nation. The Crimson Tide’s opponents have returned seven punts in 2024, and Alabama’s yield of 0.71 yards per punt return is the lowest in the nation. Oklahoma DB Peyton Bowen has 190 yards on 23 punt returns this season. Only one player, Connecticut WR TJ Sheffield with 27, has more punt returns nationally than Bowen in 2024.

6 Games for Alabama QB Jalen Milroe this season with at least 100 passing yards and two or more rushing TDs, tied with New Mexico QB Devon Dampier for the most in the nation in 2024. Milroe, Dampier and Washington State QB John Mateer are the only players this season with three games with at least 200 passing yards and two or more rushing TDs.

9 Victories are the most for an Alabama coach in his first season. Kalen DeBoer enters Saturday’s game with an 8-2 record in his first season as the Crimson Tide’s coach. In 1931, Frank Thomas guided Alabama to a 9-1 record in the first of his 15 seasons as the Crimson Tide’s coach.

9 Consecutive games have been won in November by Alabama, the longest current winning streak in the SEC for the 11th month.

16 Consecutive victories for Alabama in the game before it plays Auburn. The Crimson Tide and Tigers are scheduled to square off in the Iron Bowl on Nov. 30. Alabama’s 21-14 setback against Louisiana-Monroe on Nov. 17, 2007, was its most recent loss in the game before the Iron Bowl. That was the final defeat in a five-year losing streak for Alabama in the game preceding the Iron Bowl. The other four losses came against LSU. The Tide played Mississippi State in 2008, Kentucky in 2020 and Arkansas in 2021 in the game before facing Auburn. In the other games in the winning streak, Alabama defeated non-conference opponents – Chattanooga four times, Western Carolina three times and Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Charleston Southern, Mercer, the Citadel and Austin Peay once each.

17 Rushing TDs by Alabama’s Jalen Milroe in 2024, the school single-season record for a quarterback. Milroe surpassed the mark of 13 established by Jalen Hurts in 2016.

24 Takeaways for Alabama this season, the most in the SEC. The Crimson Tide has intercepted 14 passes and recovered 10 of its opponents’ 15 fumbles. Oklahoma has lost 18 turnovers this season. The Sooners have thrown five interceptions and lost 13 of their 23 fumbles. Oklahoma has lost more fumbles than any team in the nation and is tied with Arkansas for the most fumbles.

89 Consecutive victories for Oklahoma when holding its opponent to 22 or fewer points. The streak started after a 10-3 loss to Nebraska on Nov. 7, 2009. Alabama has scored fewer than 27 points once this season.

101 Points for Alabama and 22 points for the Crimson Tide’s opponents in the first quarter this season. Alabama has led at the end of the first quarter in eight of its games and went on to win all of them. The Tide trailed Vanderbilt 13-7 after the first period on Oct. 5 and lost 40-35, and Alabama and Tennessee were tied 0-0 at the end of the first quarter on Oct. 19 before the Volunteers posted a 24-17 victory. Oklahoma has outscored its opponents 58-48 in the first quarter this season.

194 Points have been the responsibility of Alabama QB Jalen Milroe, the most in the SEC and third-most in the nation this season. Milroe has 15 TD passes, 17 TD runs and one 2-point conversion pass in 2024.

271 Yards per game have been gained by the Oklahoma offense in the Sooners’ six conference contests, the lowest average in the SEC this season. Oklahoma also is on the bottom of the conference with eight TDs against conference competition in 2024. Oklahoma is the only team in the SEC averaging fewer than 100 rushing yards per game in conference competition this season at 96.

320 Games have been played by Alabama since it was most recently shut out. Alabama’s scoring streak is the third-longest in SEC history. Alabama’s most recent shutout loss came 9-0 to Auburn on Nov. 18, 2000.
