Huntsville police are investigating the death early Wednesday of an Alabama A&M student.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 200 block of Victory Lane at 1 a.m. Wednesday

A woman inside the home, later identified as Keshaun Middlebrooks, 22, had life-threatening injuries and was transported to Huntsville Hospital.

She died late Wednesday night.

Police are investigating her death as a homicide. A spokesman for Alabama A&M confirmed that Middlebrooks was a student there.

“At this time, investigators believe this is an isolated incident,” police spokesperson Sydney Martin said.
