Eight teams in Class 7A will be paired down to four semi-finalists after this week’s high school football playoff games while the other AHSAA classes reach the quarterfinals.

This week’s huge matchups include Thompson at Auburn, St. Michael at Pleasant Grove and Hartselle at Oxford.
