AHSAA soccer poll: Montgomery Catholic girls jump to No. 1 in Class 4A

There was only one change atop in the AHSAA soccer coaches polls as Montgomery Catholic’s girls jumped from third to No. 1 in Class 4A. The Knights improved to 13-3 while last week’s top team – American Christian – is 12-1 after losing its first game of the season after 10 straight wins.

Orange Beach, last week’s No. 2 team in the 4A poll, is third this week.

Boys juggernaut Oak Mountain is 20-0 on the year and remains at the top of both the Class 7A and the “Super Poll,” the ranking of the top 10 teams regardless of class. Vestavia Hills is 14-1-2 and is No. 1 in the girls Super Poll and in 7A.
