The top two teams in the Alabama High School Athletic Association soccer coaches’ “Super Poll” – the top ranked teams regardless of class – swapped places in Week 3 of that poll. The new No. 1 Super Poll team on the girls’ side is Vestavia Hills, the No. 2 team a week ago. Last week’s No. 1, Oak Mountain, is No. 2 this week. The No. 1 boys’ team in the Super Poll is Oak Mountain, replacing Fort Payne, which is No. 2 this week.

The Week 8 rankings have a a new No. 1 in the girls’ Class 7A rankings and in the Class 4A of the boys’ poll. As it did in the Super Poll, Vestavia Hills replaced Oak Mountain in 7A. The new 4A No. 1 is Bayside Academy. The Admirals leapt all the way to the top from No. 7 a week ago. Last week’s No. 4 was Oneonta, which is now ranked fourth.
