Accused rapist who escaped through Morgan County jail window recaptured
An escapee from the Morgan County Jail was recaptured earlier this morning.
Jeremy Taylor, of Hartselle, reportedly crawled out a single paned window at the jail, according to the department, on Sunday. Early this morning, Taylor was retaken into custody.
Authorities did not give any immediate details on his capture.
According to investigators, Taylor was able to exit the jail through a window that was thought to be secure.
Taylor was awaiting trial on charges including rape and sodomy, for sex with a minor, kidnapping, burglary and unlawful possession of controlled substances, according to the department.
