Aaron Rodgers lasts four snaps in first game with Jets
Before the New York Jets’ season-opening game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, quarterback Aaron Rodgers closed the introductions by running out of the tunnel onto the field carrying the U.S. flag as the crowd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, roared on the 9/11 anniversary.
The addition of the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player in an April trade buoyed the hopes of Jets fans perhaps like nothing ever had.
But on his fourth snap with his new team, Rodgers needed to be helped from the field after getting sacked by Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd.

After some time in the sideline medical tent, Rodgers left for the locker room on a cart, and the Jets announced that his return was questionable.
New York coach Robert Saleh told ESPN at the end of the first quarter that the quarterback had an ankle injury and was getting checked out. Shortly later, Rodgers was ruled out for the game.
Rodgers’ injury put Zach Wilson back under center for the Jets. The second selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, Wilson started 22 games over the past two seasons for New York. He has 15 touchdown passes and 18 interceptions in those games.
