‘Sister Wives’ season 18 premiere: How to watch, where to live stream

The highly-anticipated season 18 premiere of Sister Wives will premiere on TLC Sunday, Aug. 20 at 10/9c.

Despite three of the four wives having reportedly left the polygamist marriage that caught all of America’s attention back in 2010, the season 18 cast of Sister Wives will still include regulars Kody Brown, Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, Meri Brown and Robyn Brown.

With a lot to unwrap this season, those who want to watch tonight’s season premiere can live stream new episodes of the reality series with Philo, FuboTV or DirecTV Stream.

All three live streaming services offer free trials for new subscribers, so you can stream for free before making any commitments.

What are the differences between Philo, FuboTV and DirecTV Stream?

Philo is considered one of the cheaper live streaming services available as it allows users to stream over 70 live TV channels for just $25 a month.

Popular channels offered with Philo include the Hallmark Channel, MTV, AMC, HGTV, History Channel, Discovery Channel, CMT, TLC, BET and more.

The streaming service also offers unlimited DVR along with various movies and TV shows users can watch on-demand.

Meanwhile, FuboTV and DirecTV Stream are meant for those looking for an alternative to a regular cable subscription, but with better channel options.

FuboTV considers itself a sports-focused streaming service, but overall, its standard package comes with over 100 live channels for $74.99 a month after its free trial. These channels include ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TLC, MTV and much more.

FuboTV also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.

DirecTV Stream is similar to FuboTV in that it offers many of the same channels and features. At $74.99 a month with a free trial, its base package comes with a little over 75 live TV channels.

What is Sister Wives about?

The rarely seen world of a polygamist family is documented in Sister Wives, which follows Kody Brown, his four wives and their combined 18 children trying to live as a “normal” family in a society that shuns their lifestyle.

Three of the wives — Meri, Janelle and Christine — have worked for years with Kody to develop a cohesive, loving unit, and their marriages produced 13 kids.

Much later, wife No. 4, Robyn, and her three children were added to the family, a development that produced mixed feelings, insecurities and uncertainties.
