The two-hour season five premiere of the CBS competition series Tough as Nails is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, July 2 at 8/7c.
The second episode of the new season will also premiere later in the week Friday, July 7 at 8/7c.
Though the new season will air on CBS, those who have already ditched basic cable can still live stream the premiere with Paramount+, FuboTV or DirecTV Stream.
What is the difference between Paramount+, FuboTV and DirecTV Stream?
Paramount+ offers a variety shows from popular channels such as Nickelodeon, VH1, MTV, Comedy Central, BET and CBS All-Access. While not a live-streaming service, Paramount+ allows users to live-stream certain content as it airs on regular TV (such as Tough as Nails).
Subscribers can either select the essentials plan for $4.99 a month with limited ads or the premium package for $9.99 a month without ads. However, you will need the premium package to live-stream the season premiere of Tough as Nails.
Meanwhile, both FuboTV and DirecTV Stream are meant for those looking for an alternative to a regular cable subscription.
FuboTV considers itself a sports-focused streaming service, but overall, its standard package comes with over 100 live channels for $74.99 a month after its free trial. These channels include ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TLC, MTV and much more.
FuboTV also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.
DirecTV Stream is similar to FuboTV in that it offers many of the same channels and features. At $64.99 a month, its base package comes with a little over 75 live channels.

What is CBS’s Tough as Nails about?
According to CBS, Tough as Nails is a competition series that celebrates everyday Americans who consider the calluses on their hands a badge of honor.
For the first time, the show filmed in the Canadian “Steeltown” of Hamilton, Ontario, and features essential workers from both the United States and Canada who are ready to test their strength, endurance, life skills and mental toughness in challenges that take place in real-world scenarios.
One by one, these workers are eliminated from the individual competition until a winner is crowned, but nobody goes home. Contestants who “punch out” of the individual competition continue to compete until the end of the season in a team competition with a chance of winning additional cash prizes.
The series is from Emmy Award-winning producer Phil Keoghan (The Amazing Race) and his producing partner, Louise Keoghan.
