âSee you soon Sis!â: Briarwood Pastor Harry Reeder shared tribute to his late sister before he died
On the same morning he died in a car crash, Briarwood Presbyterian Church Senior Pastor Harry Reeder III shared an emotional social media post about the death of his sister, Vicki, five years before.
Victoria “Vicki” Anne Reeder Hall died on May 17, 2017. She was 64.
“On this day five years ago the Lord unexpectedly yet in His perfect Providence brought home to glory my oldest sister and best friend Vicki,” Reeder shared on Facebook.
He posted several pictures of the two of them from their childhood together.
“I miss her yet rejoice for her every day unstoppable love, wisdom loyalty and our daily phone calls and her contagious love for Christ, evangelism, Christ’s Church, her friends and her family,” he wrote.
In what perhaps were his final words ever, he wrote:
“See you soon Sis!”
In a tragic twist, Reeder soon after died in an automobile accident on Thursday morning, May 18.
Reeder, 75, had served as senior pastor of the 4,100-member Briarwood Church in Birmingham since 1999, taking over for founding Senior Pastor Frank Barker, who became Pastor Emeritus. Barker, 89, died Dec. 27, 2021.
