‘American Idol’ season 21 episode 19: How to watch, where to stream

The episode leading up to the season 21 finale of American Idol will premiere on ABC tonight at 9/8c.

Tonight’s episode titled “Journey to the Finale,” will feature never-before-seen footage of this season’s finalists and will take a deeper look at the journeys from hometown to Hollywood.

Those who have already ditched basic cable can still live stream tonight’s episode with FuboTV or DirecTV Stream. Both live streaming services offer free trials for first time subscribers so you can watch for free before committing to anything.

However, new episodes will also be available to stream the following day with Hulu.

What is the difference between FuboTV and DirecTV Stream?

Both FuboTV and DirecTV Stream are meant for those looking for an alternative to a regular cable subscription.

FuboTV considers itself a sports-focused streaming service, but overall, its standard package comes with over 100 live channels for $74.99 a month after its free trial. These channels include ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TLC, MTV and much more.

FuboTV also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.

DirecTV Stream is similar to FuboTV in that it offers many of the same channels and features. At $64.99 a month, its base package comes with a little over 75 live channels.
