The Baldwin County Commission will once again consider a rezoning to expand the Spanish Cove planned community in Lillian, just months after the commission deadlocked on a similar expansion proposal.

“Spanish Cove right now is really falling behind in its ability to keep up with the maintenance of its infrastructure, including its roads and drainage,” Robin Newell, a resident of Spanish Cove, told the planning commission during their October 3 meeting. “At this rate, we know it’s a matter of time and money before the Lillian, Elberta area is overbuilt.”
