Vote for the top Cunningham Bounds Coastal football player of Week 8

Once again this year, readers have a chance to vote for the Cunningham Bounds Coastal Alabama Football Player of the Week.

Coaches can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

Nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].

Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.

Here are the nominees from Week 8:

EJ Crowell, Jackson: The sophomore ran for 187 yards and touchdowns of 65, 3 and 80 yards on just eight carries in the Aggies’ win at Jackson on Thursday.

Terrance Gray, Davidson: Gray rushed for 142 yards on 15 carries in the Warriors’ Thursday win over Robertsdale. His score with 7:57 left gave his team a 15-3 lead.

Shondell Harris, Mary G. Montgomery: Harris rushed for 126 yards and a TD and passed for 150 and another score as the Vikings held off Fairhope 35-20 in a Class 7A, Region 1 battle.

Khatori Marion, Baker: Marion caught TD passes of 28, 12 and 12 yards and returned a punt 52 yards for a score in the Hornets’ win at Foley.

Jermaine McCree, Williamson: McCree’s 86-yard kickoff return for a score gave the Lions the lead for good in a win over UMS-Wright.

Ladarien Miller, McGill-Toolen: Miller rushed for 150 yards and 2 TDs as the Yellow Jackets pulled away from Blount on Thursday.

Arterus Moffett, Saraland: Moffett’s interception in the final minute helped Saraland preserve a 19-14 victory over St. Paul’s in a battle of Class 6A unbeatens.

Noah Moss, St. Michael: Moss rushed for 225 yards on 33 carries and had four receptions for 70 yards in the Cardinals’ key region victory at Mobile Christian.

Eli Owens, Citronelle: Owens had a TD run, 58 yards rushing, an interception and a 97-yard kickoff return for a TD in his team’s come-from-behind win over B.C. Rain. He also had a pass breakup and 3 tackles on defense.
