Deion Sanders calls out Nick Saban on ‘GameDay’ for picking against him, praises Miss Terry
Deion Sanders forgives Nick Saban.
But mostly, the Colorado coach loves Miss Terry.
Two weeks after Saban, 72, went against Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes – and Miss Terry picked them to win – the former Alabama coach got a playful earful from Coach Prime during a segment Saturday on “College GameDay.”
“How’s the fishing, man?” Saban asked Sanders in reference to their Aflac commercial. “Because last time I saw you it wasn’t going so well.”

Sanders laughed and had three things for the coach.
“No. 1, the fishing ain’t good,” he said. “I don’t fish here. I coach here.
No. 2, you stunted on the whole set. They didn’t even get that. They asked you what car dealership and you said, Uh, Mercedes and Lamborghini. That was a stunt. That’s the way to do it, coach.
“Third, I forgive you for last week. But my favorite, Miss Terry had my back. I love you, sis. I love you, Miss Terry. I love you.”
Last month, “GameDay,” with Miss Terry as the celebrity picker, made predictions on Colorado’s game against UCF.
Here are those picks:
- Desmond Howard: Colorado
- Miss Terry: Colorado
- Saban: UCF
- Pat McAfee: Colorado
- Lee Corso: UCF
- Kirk Herbstreit: UCF
Saban reminded Sanders that Miss Terry “got on me because I didn’t.”
The “GameDay” analyst did share what he likes most about Sanders, who couldn’t help but question the comment.

“That’s the one thing I love about you, Deion,” Saban said. “You are old-school. You believe in discipline. You believe doing things the right way. You grew up the right way, but you got this great image, man, of being a great player being ‘kind of primetime,’ and I love that. And it has helped your program a lot.”
“Coach said, ‘I’m kinda primetime,’” Sanders reacted.
