A man has died after a car crash Wednesday night on U.S. Highway 72 in Jackson County.

Larry D. Parker, 26, was killed after his 2005 Nissan Sentra was hit by a 2006 Lincoln Town Car driven by Joshua A. Cain, 46, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The crash occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 9.

Parker was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, the news release said.

The crash occurred around five miles west of Woodville, on U.S. Highway 72 near Jackson County Road 236.

Parker was from Paint Rock.
