As Mortimer Jordan quarterback Blaze Neely scrambled to his right late in the third quarter, he appeared to be trapped between the sideline and an on-coming defender.

Instead of stepping out of bounds, Neely jumped to his left, set his feet and lofted pass toward senior Daunte Williams, who out-leaped a defender, sprinted away from the pursuit and cut across the field for a 63-yard touchdown with 1:40 to go in the third quarter.
