Moody High School’s Charlie Johnston and Josiah Dozier were in sync in the first half, connecting on six passes for two scores, but the sixth-ranked Class 5A Blue Devils had to hold on for a 38-22 victory over No. 7 Leeds in Friday’s Battle of the Bridge at Bill Morris Stadium in Moody.

Moody (5-2, 4-0 in Region 6) has the inside track at capturing its first region title in two decades after securing its first win over the Green Wave since the 2009 season.
