Alabama football injury update: Latest from Kalen DeBoer before Georgia
The Monday before the Georgia game, Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer provided the latest injury update on the Crimson Tide.
DeBoer seemed optimistic about Malachi Moore, who sustained a head injury vs. Wisconsin. The open week helped in that regard. For Moore, it was “just a matter of time.”
“He was out there practicing already at the end of last week,” DeBoer said.
On Qua Russaw (leg): “I’m optimistic with Qua. We’ll just have to see as we evaluate throughout the week.”
DeBoer also said with Cole Adams (arm) and Richard Young (leg), Alabama is “working (them) back slowly.”
Moore, Russaw and Young each sustained injuries in the Wisconsin game. Adams sustained his injury in the USF game.
Moore and Russaw are both starters on defense, and Moore is a captain. Young is a backup running back while Adams was the starting punt returner and a player in the receiver rotation.
No. 4 Alabama (3-0) will face No. 1/2 Georgia on Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC) at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
