Where Alabama football is ranked in coaches poll top 25 before Georgia game

Despite a week off, Alabama football didn’t slip in the latest edition of the coaches top 25 poll, released on Sunday. The Crimson Tide remained fourth in the rankings, ahead of a Saturday matchup with Georgia.

The Bulldogs were also off on Saturday. They remained ranked No. 1 in the coaches poll.

The top of the poll didn’t see much movement at all. Texas continued to sit at No. 2, with Ohio State in third.

Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss team sat fifth, after a blowout win against Georgia Southern. Tennessee took down Oklahoma in Norman in the week’s marquee matchup, and jumped from sixth to seventh in the coaches rankings, leapfrogging Oregon.

Penn State, Miami and Utah made up the remainder of the coaches top 10. Missouri took a tumble after a near-upset against Vanderbilt, falling to 11th.

Oklahoma dropped five spots to 18th in the coaches rankings after losing to the Volunteers. Kansas State took a tumble after a blowout loss to BYU, falling 11 spots to No. 25, while the Cougars used the win to jump into the rankings, at No. 22.
