Zack Ward didn’t have to think too long when Alma Bryant athletic director Bart Sessions called him last summer and asked him if he was interested in being the girls’ flag football coach.

“I jumped at the chance,” he said. “I coached for a longtime here at the school and needed to take a break. But the chance to create something and help run it and be a head coach was exciting.”
