‘Outlaw country’ singer on tour in Alabama: How to find the best tickets

Koe Wetzel, whose music has been described as outlaw country or a cross between country and grunge, is out on his Damn Near Normal Tour.

Dylan Wheeler and Kolby Cooper will open for Wetzel, who released his latest album 9 Lives in July. They’ll perform in Huntsville, Ala., this month.

Orion Amphitheatre: Huntsville

Wetzel and friends will bring the Damn Near Normal Tour to Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheatre on Sept. 20, 2024. Tickets were available on secondary markets and, at the time of this writing, cheapest tickets were $56 from StubHub | $58 from SeatGeek | $63 from Vivid Seats | $91 from Ticketmaster.

Or check out a variety of packages from Orion’s ticket partner Axs.

Wetzel’s songs contain mature themes, according to an article on Taste of Country.

“Wetzel isn’t your grandmama’s country artist: He’s known for mature subject matter and language that can be a little bit salty,” the article said.

In 2020, after signing with the record label Columbia, Wetzel wrote an album titled Sellout as a response to fans concerned he “sold out” to the industry.

Wetzel also became a partner in a Fort Worth, Texas, restaurant called Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room in 2023.
