Man shot to death during argument in Foley, suspect in custody

One man was shot to death and another is now in jail after an argument turned violent early Sunday morning, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s office.

The argument led to a shooting in a neighborhood in south Foley.

Deputies were alerted early this morning.

Authorities say Michael David Norton shot the victim one time. The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, died as a result.

“This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing danger to the community at this time,” the sheriff’s office said.

Norton was taken into custody by Foley police and is being charged with murder.
