Wisconsin LB to miss first half of Alabama game after ejection for targeting
Wisconsin will be without starting linebacker Jake Chaney next Saturday when the Badgers face the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Chaney was flagged for targeting and ejected from a game against South Dakota in the second half on Saturday. He appeared to hit the player through the chest and did so by lowering the crown of his helmet.
The linebacker had 80 tackles and three sacks last season.
Wisconsin hosts Alabama next Saturday at 11 a.m. (Noon ET) on FOX at Camp Randall Stadium. Th two teams haven’t met since 2015, an Alabama win.
