A Troy man has been charged with murder after he allegedly fatally shot his wife in the head, court records showed.

Benjamin Joshua Hill, 39, killed Jennifer Hill “by shooting her in the head with a firearm,” according to charging documents filed against him.

Hill was booked into the Pike County jail around 4:30 p.m. Friday, jail records showed.

He is being held without bond pending a hearing.

Jennifer Hill, 37, died of her injuries at a Montgomery hospital, WSFA reported.
