North Alabamians who want to stop in at one of the state’s newest retailers of the year have 10 choices in Huntsville and Athens.

The Alabama Retail Association honored Huntsville’s ChurchStreet Family Restaurant & Hospitality Group on Thursday at the group’s 102 Gates Avenue headquarters, site of Mazzara’s Vinoteca. ChurchStreet picked up the retail group’s award for retailers with annual sales over $5 million.

Stephanie Mell, co-owner with her husband, Matt, called the honor “a team win” for the group’s employees.
