College football has returned to The Plains.

Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers are set to get their 2024 season underway as they host Alabama A&M under the lights of Jordan-Hare Stadium.

A win over the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M will give the Tigers their 800th win in program history.

Pregame

5:30 p.m. — Warmups begin

As the Tigers take the field for warmups, it appears kicker Alex McPherson is the only player dressed in street clothes.

Dealing with a gastrointestinal illness, Freeze said on Wednesday that McPherson would miss the season opener.

Meanwhile, linebacker Austin Keys (MCL sprain) and cornerback Keionte Scott (hamstring) are both dressed and participating in warmups.
