Legendary rapper exits plane after airline downgrades ticket to coach: ‘I feel played’
Rapper Juvenile claims his plane ticket was downgraded from first class to coach while he was aboard an American Airlines flight headed to Forth Worth, Texas.
He took to Instagram Live to share the encounter with a flight attendant.
“I’m a celebrity, there’s going to be repercussions,” Juvenile said in the video. “I’m not gonna let y’all disrespect me like that! I’m not gonna let y’all choose me, out of all the people on the plane. I’m not gonna let y’all disrespect me like that, so I’m gonna get off the plane.”
The New Orleans-born artist then exited the plane while still live on Instagram. As he left the aircraft, he continued, “I fly Delta or jets, I don’t fly this trash [expletive] anyways.”
Juvenile later posted a video to X/Twitter to formerly complain directly to American Airlines. In the video, he showed all the times he flew with American Airlines and spent money with the company. “Talkin’ ‘bout first class,” Juvenile said, while scrolling through his phone. “First class? I think I know a thing or two about first class. Ain’t that first class? All of ‘em.
“They gon’ try to put me in coach…I ain’t never flew coach. F— y’all.”
“I feel played @AmericanAir but yall not getting away w this one,” the rapper also posted on X. “im boarding another airline rn so Fort Worth ill see you soon.”
The American Airlines official X account replied to Juvenile’s post: “We never want you to feel this way when you travel with us. DM your confirmation code, so we can take a closer look at what happened.”
