Human remains found in east Birmingham; investigation underway
An investigation is underway after human remains were found Tuesday afternoon in eastern Birmingham.
The discovery was made just after 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of Fifth Place N.W.
According to authorities, a skull was among the bones discovered.
Birmingham police and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.
The investigation is in its early stages and it’s too soon to tell if any foul play could have been involved.
