Update: Heat advisory issued for Central Alabama for Saturday
On Friday at 9:20 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory valid for Saturday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. for St. Clair, Talladega, Chilton, Coosa, Autauga, Lowndes and Elmore counties.
The weather service describes, “Heat index values up to 106 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” explains the weather service.
