Starting this week, portions of U.S. 31 near Wald Park in Vestavia Hills will be closed for guardrail installation, according to a recent release from the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).

But this should not drastically impact commuter routes over the next week, according to Vestavia Hills Assistant City Manager Cinnamon McCulley.
