A Madison County man was arrested early Tuesday morning on multiple bank robbery charges.

Lawrence Smith Jones, 55, of Madison, was booked into the Madison County Jail at 5:29 a.m., according to jail records.

Jones has been charged with three counts of first degree robbery of a banking institution.

He is being held without bond.

Madison has reported three bank robberies since December, the last one happening a week ago and involving two suspects, according to reports.
