Athens police said Tuesday afternoon the parent of a little boy found alone had been located.

Athens Police Chief Anthony Pressnell said the child appears to be two to three years old.

He was found wandering at apartments on East Elm Street in Athens.

By 2:30 p.m., Pressnell said a parent had been located and the Alabama Department of Human Resources will follow up the case.
