One person was killed and two others were taken to the hospital with injuries following a two-vehicle wreck Friday night in Huntsville, officials said.

Don Webster of Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc., said authorities were called about 8 p.m. Friday about an accident near Memorial Parkway and Meridian Street.

One victim was pronounce dead at the scene while two others were taken to the Huntsville Hospital, said Webster.

The two injured victims were in stable condition.
