Heat advisory issued for Southeast Alabama until Friday evening

On Friday at 1:07 a.m. a heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.

The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 112 degrees expected.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” states the weather service.
