Heat advisory issued for Southwest Alabama for Friday
On Thursday at 3:22 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid for Friday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Escambia, Mobile and Baldwin counties.
The weather service states, “Heat index values up to 108 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” explains the weather service.

- Recognize heat-related issues: Recognize the warning signs and familiarize yourself with symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
- Dress for comfort: Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing to help your body stay cool.
