A female was found shot to death inside a unit of a Mobile apartment complex Monday night in an incident police say was domestic-related.

Mobile police officers responded to the Summit at Hillcrest apartments at 1601 Hillcrest Rd. around 9:06 p.m. Monday on a call of a domestic-related shooting, police said Tuesday.

Officers found a female victim dead with a gunshot wound inside of an apartment unit. She has not been publicly identified pending family notification.

Police learned the victim was shot by a “known subject.”

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, police said.
