Biles and Lee have been dominant at the 2024 Olympic Games thus far, as they each won their second medal earlier today. Biles finished the all-around final in first place, giving her a second gold medal in Paris. Meanwhile, Lee finished the competition in third place and earned a bronze medal.
Biles was imperative to Team USA’s success during the team competition earlier this week, and she put together another incredible performance today. The American legend scored higher than every gymnast in three of the four events, including: Vault, balance beam, and floor exercise. The only relatively bad score from Biles was uneven bars, where she scored 13.7 points. However, she scored more than 15 points each in vault and floor exercise, which gave her the first place finish.
Lee has been a key member of the gymnastics squad this summer, and she showcased her greatness by scoring more than 14.8 points in uneven bars today. That score was the best of all competitors in the event, and it helped her clinch a podium finish by less than 0.2 points over Italy’s Alice D’Amato.
