LSU cornerback arrested for voyeurism, suspended from team activities

LSU cornerback Javien Toviano turned himself in to authorities and was arrested Sunday after accusations of video voyeurism.

The sophomore defensive back is accused of secretly recording himself and a woman July 5 and July 6 during sexual intercourse without her consent, per to the arrest documents obtained by WAFB.

“(Toviano) has been suspended from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies,” an LSU spokesperson said in a statement to WAFB. “We will not have further comment out of respect for the legal process.”

Toviano appeared in 13 games for LSU as a true freshman in 2023. He started in three of the final five games last season. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound cornerback finished with 33 total tackles, including 20 solo stops and a pass breakup in coverage.

LSU opens the season against USC on Sunday, Sept. 1, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.
