Auburn football sells out of season tickets for second straight season

For the second year in a row, Auburn football has sold out of season tickets, Auburn athletics announced Monday.

The 63,500 season tickets sold equates last year’s record-setting sellout, which topped the previous record of 62,900 season tickets from the 2014 season.

Of the more than 63,000 tickets purchased for this season, nearly 4,000 are from new season-ticket holders, Auburn athletics wrote in a release.

“The Auburn family never ceases to amaze and impress me,” Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze said in the release. “On behalf of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, thank you for your tremendous support. As we continue to build our program, we look forward to competing on eight special Jordan-Hare Saturdays in front of the best fans in the country.”

According to the release, single-game tickets and four pack offerings are still available for select games and can be purchased at aubtix.com.

Single-game tickets for Auburn’s homecoming matchup vs. New Mexico and Oklahoma’s first-ever visit to The Plains are already sold out, according to Auburn’s ticketing website.

“The loyalty and passion of Auburn fans is second to none,” Auburn athletics director John Cohen said in Monday’s release. “A second-straight season-ticket sellout is a remarkable feat and the latest example of Auburn Being Auburn.”
