Arch Manning to appear in EA Sports video game after all

Arch Manning will be in EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game after all.

Arguably the most well-known backup quarterback in the sport, the Texas redshirt freshman had previously opted-out of his name, image and likeness appearing in the much-anticipated game. He reportedly said at the time he wanted to wait until he “was the guy” with the Longhorns, rather than the No. 2 quarterback behind third-year starter Quinn Ewers.

But it appears Manning has had a change of heart. With help from famous uncle Eli Manning, he released a video on social media saying that he’s “in the game,” which will be released July 16.

Here’s the video:

The son of Cooper Manning, grandson of Archie Manning and nephew of Peyton and Eli, Arch Manning was a five-star recruit in the 2023 signing class. He appeared in one game as a true freshman last season, completing two of five passes for 30 years in a blowout victory over Texas Tech in November.

Had Manning followed through on his “opt-out,” he would have been left off the game entirely. Gamers would also be blocked from manually adding or creating him.
